Being forced to relearn an interface at every page or section is annoying for everyone - however, it can make life particularly hard for some people (e.g. screen reader users and screen magnification users).

People should be able to confidently predict where various page elements can be found.

Be consistent wherever possible, e.g.
- Look, colour, placement of navigation bars and links
- Position, appearance of recurring items, e.g.
  - Logo
  - Form elements
  - Recurring text
- Style of writing:
  - Tone
  - Document structure

Tip: Develop good accessible templates and use them!

Note: You can have a different format for the home page - if necessary.

Note: It may make sense to change format for certain pages or sections - just make sure you break the rule consistently!
