Developers - accessibility guidance

As developers you are the last line of defence for ensuring accessibility, and you are probably also the ones that will be asked to make evaluations of accessibility. Consequently you get the rough deal with regards to the amount you must be aware of. In these guidelines you get the technical guidance, but also the design and content recommendations. You may have to liaise with those providing you with materials in order to gently 'remind' them of some of the priorities of accessible design.
